The City of Falls Church covers about 2 square miles, and much of what to do fits in a short walk. The farmers market sets up in the City Hall parking lot at 300 Park Avenue every Saturday of the year. Cherry Hill Farmhouse, an 1845 Greek Revival house at 312 Park Avenue, opens to the public on select summer Saturdays. The State, a 1936 movie house turned concert hall, hosts live music.

The Falls Church itself, the 1769 brick church on East Fairfax Street, still holds services. Every Memorial Day the city stages a parade and street festival. Founders Row on Broad Street adds a movie theater, a bowling alley sits on South Maple Avenue, and a LOVE sculpture stands at City Hall.

South of Seven Corners, Lake Barcroft's dam on Holmes Run was finished in 1915 to hold drinking water for Alexandria.
