Eden Center anchors Asian dining in the Falls Church area. It opened in 1962 as the Plaza Seven Shopping Center. After its Grand Union supermarket closed in 1984, Vietnamese merchants pushed out of Arlington's Clarendon neighborhood by Metro construction moved in, and the center took its name from the Eden Arcade market in Saigon. It now holds more than 120 shops, with a clock tower and a lion-flanked arch inspired by Ben Thanh Market in Ho Chi Minh City, and it hosts Tet and Moon Festival events.
